The window symbolizes God's plan of salvation and the birth of the Church. The features are based primarily on Acts 2:3-4, ". . . and there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as to fire and it sat upon each of them; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."
The Cross in the center of the window symbolizes the price Jesus paid for man's redemption. The emptiness of the cross signifies His power over death.
The Crown Of Thorns symbolizes the sacrifice and suffering the Son of God endured for man's redemption.
The yellow Radial Rays Of Light reaching out from the apex of the cross symbolizes Christ's light and God's power penetrating into all parts of the world.
The Background Of Blue symbolizes the world into which Christ came to bring light and life.
Arising from the base of the Cross are Tongues Of Fire symbolizing the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church as it is described in Acts 2:4.
The beautiful window contains ninety square feet of faceted art glass. The glass is one inch think, with split and chipped surfaces to refract the light which passes through. The glass is set in white epoxy compound.
